Our Mission
Our desire is to create beautiful smiles for each of our patients using current orthodontic techniques and materials in a warm, personal and professional manner. We are educators of health. We pride ourselves on our open communication with our patients and their dental professionals. Our goal is to produce gorgeous smiles while keeping our patients in treatment for the shortest time possible. This can be done by Dr. McDonough's extensive knowledge of orthodontic techniques and his desire to begin treatment at the appropriate time. We support our family of patients in their orthodontic treatment as well as in the community through our sponsorship of many activities.
Our Orthodontic Techniques Include:
- Invisalign® – Invisible braces – “Premiere Provider” which is a status given to the top 5% of practices in the country
- Mini-braces
- Ceramic (tooth-colored) braces
- High-tech light, comfortable wires
- Functional appliances to improve the growth of jawbones
- Removable appliances
- Non-extraction therapy, if possible
- Adult orthodontics (35% of our patients are adults)
- Custom sports mouth guards
- Laser reshaping of the gums to decrease treatment time and/or improve the final aesthetics of treatment
- Placement and use of Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD's) to allow for optimal results not possible without this new technology

- You or your child receives personal attention from the orthodontist and the staff. We don't deliver your care in an assembly-line fashion. We take enormous pride in the relationships we build with our patients and their families, as well as their referring dentists.
- Your treatment is "state-of-the-art." Computer imaging, digital x-rays, interactive patient education computer programs, cavity fighting adhesives to glue the braces on and space-age, low-force wires (less painful, better treatment result) are all routinely used.
- We don't take shortcuts when planning treatment. We utilize comprehensive diagnostic tests (necessary digital x-rays, digital photographs and impressions of teeth) and review these records with you prior to beginning treatment. If multiple treatment options are possible, they will be reviewed with you in detail and the best option for you or your child will be selected.
- You are offered a variety of payment options. We believe money should not be a barrier to quality treatment. We have developed a full range of convenient payment options for you to choose from. Prior to the commencement of treatment, fees and financial arrangements will be agreed upon.
- We have a qualified lab technician on staff that allows many of your orthodontic appliances to be made in the office. This guarantees quality results and often allows your treatment to begin the same day we take impressions. This saves you time.
- Your appointments are confirmed by phone or e-mail. Once you are a patient of the practice, you have access through this website to all your digital x-rays, photographs, and account and appointment information.
